Our two Cal 39s are the queens of our fleet, fast, powerful boats that offer a workable blend of big boat ocean sailing capability with an ample domestic environment below for comfortable extended cruises. The Cal 39s feature private staterooms for and aft, two single berths in the main salon, a stand-alone chart table and a spacious, enclosed head and shower that rivals the size of a home bath. Both boats have wheel steering, 135% furling genoa, mainsails with two reefs and reliable 44 hp Yanmar diesels. Other cruising amenities are electric refrigeration, hot and cold pressure water, 3 burner propane stoves with oven, microwave, dodger, cockpit suncovers and cushions.

OTHER EQUIPMENT: Cal 39s have the high-end Raymarine 80 navigation system color displays for GPS chartplotter, digital depth, color fish finder and radar. There is a VHF, stereo with interior and cockpit speakers, shore power for household current to shipboard outlets and battery and cell phone charging. The galley is outfitted for cooking and dining aboard and complemented by a rail-mount barbecue. Dinghy, outboard, tool kit with engine spares, fasteners and fuses, flashlight and spare batteries are standard. Cals have manual and electric bilge pumps. |
| |
|
SAFETY EQUIPMENT: Safety equipment exceeds federal requirements. All PDFs are type 1 offshore-rated, extinguishers have metal, not plastic, valves for durability. Coated wire jacklines run along both decks to clip in safety tethers when going forward in rough weather. There are working and storm anchors, ample docklines/fenders and an emergency tiller. |
